Google will run Android 4.2 updates for owners of its Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy 7 devices, air and probably very soon, but if you just can't wait, is there a way to manually update right now with the help of download firmware found on Google's servers. There must be a GSM version of the Galaxy the Nexus for this to work, as well as any version of the Nexus 7 tablet.
This does not necessarily have to be that difficult, as Roma will need are readily available on Google's servers. You can grab one for Galaxy Nexus here and grab the version for the Nexus 7 here. Install both still requires dealing with some potentially troubling backend tinkering, however, so if you're not so comfortable or not you used a tool like the ClockworkMod ROM Manager before, you may want to hold off, while Google gets things, which serve the easy way.
Jelly bean 4.2 is the gradual updating of jelly bean 4.1 and brings a number of features, including a new photo sphere panorama style software camera, multiple user accounts on the tablets, a new section quick settings, improved Google now Miracast support, etc. The update must be delivered to the Nexus family of devices somewhere in the next few days.
